Famous for both its rich culture and heritage, India offers tourists a fun vacation. There are four states in southern India which are Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Kerala. These states are chuck full of tourist places that include lush green forests, calm lakes, tranquil beaches and fabulous hill stations. Along with these, one can find hundreds of temples, mosques and churches. If you want to focus on relaxation there are also luxery hotels and spas on offer where you can be pampered during the day and sleep on designer bedding every night.

There is so much history to learn in India. Being an ancient country, you will find hundreds of famous monuments with some being Taj Mahal, Red Fort, Elephanta, Mughal citadel, Qutub Minar, Konark Temple and Agra fort. These monuments along with many others help you to understand and learn the rich Indian culture.

India is famous for its fine cuisines and delicious foods. Foods that provide different tastes, aromas and ingredients. Foods such as whole grains, legume, lentils, vegetables and meats are very common. India’s food is packed with essential fiber, nutrients, vitamins and minerals.

Along with its diverse food menu, India is also famous for its love of sports, especially Cricket. It is not uncommon to find a game being played while walking down numerous streets. Not only will you find many playing the game, but you will also find yourself being invited to play.

Prayer or “Puja”in the early morning is a common tradition in India. Many perform Puja at shrines in temples, in cars, in homes and even on the side of the road. In fact, many shopkeepers will not even open their doors for business until they have their morning prayer. There are a few different religions practiced in India with Hinduism being the most popular.
